JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An emergency room is now open after “suspicious material” was found in the parking lot.

The incident happened at Oakleaf Baptist & Wolfson Oakleaf Emergency Room.
Action News Jax obtained cell phone video that shows a police robot surrounding a van as it busted open the back window.
There were concerns about suspicious material in the back of that van. That prompted the emergency room to temporarily close on Tuesday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office got the call just before 9:30 a.m. and started evacuating the building as a precaution.
Officers said there were no explosive materials and it was instead plumbing material.
The van was in the parking lot overnight.
There have been no arrests or citations made at this time.

Here is the full statement Baptist Health made at the time of the incident:
“Law enforcement is investigating a vehicle with suspicious material in the parking lot. Out of an abundance of caution, the Baptist & Wolfson Oakleaf Emergency Room will be temporarily closed during this time. For patients seeking emergency care, please call 911 or visit the next closest ER. Safety is our No. 1 priority.
“We will provide an update when the ER reopens.”
