Jacksonville, FL — A 66-year-old bicyclist is dead after an SUV crashed into him and then fled the scene Wednesday night on Jacksonville’s westside.
The Florida Highway Patrol says around 9:45 pm, a Ford Explorer was heading westbound on Normandy Boulevard near McGirts Point Boulevard when it hit the bicyclist.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark green 90’s model Ford Explorer with a roof rack, and damage to its right front consistent with hitting a bicycle and a broken orange marker light.
