Residents who live along the Black Creek are being asked to monitor water levels following the steady rainfall we've been getting.
John Ward with Clay County Emergency Management tells WOKV he doesn't want residents to take any chances.
"We take that proactive measure and let folks know to start monitoring."
Ward says he doesn't believe there's any risk of flooding at this time. He says some private roads have standing water but so far there are no reports of creek flooding.
Right now, the North and South prongs of Black Creek are currently in the action stage.
