A Nassau County mother made her first court appearance Wednesday after allegedly leaving her toddler in the car for four hours.
A judge set Michelle King’s bond at $10,002 after finding probable cause in the child neglect without great bodily harm charge against her.
King, 25, will not be able to have contact with the victim if she makes bond.
Nassau County deputies said she brought her 6-year-old and one 18-month-old twin inside her house Tuesday, but left her other twin in the car.
The 6-year-old discovered the toddler four hours later after going to the car to search for a toy, according to deputies.
Paramedics rushed the boy to UF Health.  A nursing supervisor at the hospital told WOKV’s partner Action News that the boy is in serious condition.
King will make her next court appearance July 31.
