Jacksonville, FL — The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary on Jacksonville's Northside is poised to undergo a major transformation.
The sanctuary's executive director, Curt Logiudice, told our news partner Action News Jax, that they're looking to raise $8 million to transform their 225-acre property.
Once the money is raised, the plan is to expand in different phases. The plan for the next three years or so includes building more natural habitats for the animals, a new medical facility, educational building for students, as well as a retention pond.
"Construction doesn’t affect the animals. I think they’re as excited as much as we are," Logiudice tells Action News Jax.
He also hopes to be able to take in more animals.
"This might have been my dream, but everybody’s participation is what’s making it reality," says Logiudice.
