Jacksonville, FL — If you’re hoping to take a vacation in 2021, WOKV’s Consumer Warrior Clark Howard recommends booking your flight soon. That’s as he warns, prices are expected to rise.
“All the cost of travel is going to be unusually expensive... because there’s been so much pent up demand,” says Howard.
So, Howard says if you see a deal you’re comfortable with and you have flexibility in changing the dates, you should go ahead and book it.
“And the sooner you book, the better the prices are likely to be, rather than waiting until later in this year to book travel for later in 2021,” Howard says.
To help prepare for this expected surge in travelers, Howard says airlines are currently working to call back crews and get planes back into service. WOKV reported on Monday that the Jacksonville International Airport was also preparing for more travelers and had reopened Economy Parking Lot #1.
