Clay County deputies arrest 14-year-old for allegedly threatening, assaulting woman at Fleming Island Walmart

Two people shot at Fleming Island restaurant, police say CCSO

Jacksonville, FL — A 14-year-old boy is now being held in the Juvenile Detention Center in Jacksonville, after reportedly assaulting a woman at a Fleming Island Walmart.

According to arrest report we've obtained from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the teenager is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, without the intent to kill.

The report states the teen made threatening remarks to someone inside the Walmart at 1505 County Road 220 and allegedly showed the victim a knife, making the victim believe they were in danger. The report redacts the alleged remarks.

However, the sheriff's office posted on their Facebook page that the teen made explicit demands to the victim, but she was thankfully helped by a nearby customer.

When that customer stepped in, deputies say the teen fled. He was arrested about 10 minutes later.
