Jacksonville, FL — After the Clay County School Board recently received state approval to move ahead with creating their own school district police force, hiring is now underway.
Clay County Schools is looking to hire police officers to fill positions at all 42 of their schools, including additional leadership positions. You can apply HERE.

As the district puts this police force together, Superintendent Addison Davis plans to hold a series of 'Listen and Learn' meetings with his police chief recommendation, Kenneth Wagner. Wagner comes with over 20 years of experience with the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
The district says these meetings will include discussing the formation of this new department, the timeline, and expectations.
Parents, students, staff, and the community are invited to attend.
