Clay dad says parent involved in school fight with daughter

In the past few days we've heard stories of a so-called serial bully who's back in school and a bus driver who staged a fight between students...we're now hearing a Clay county dad say his daughter was attacked at school and a parent may have played a part.
"They're on that school property for a school function or a school event, they should be protected,"Daryl Shahan tells our partner Action News.

Shahan, father of a 17-year-old at Middleburg High School says his daughter, Tierra, feels at risk at school and has been having to go to the hospital to have her head examined after he says she was attacked by another student. Witnesses say the girl's mother may have even encouraged and even jumped in.

"I don't know exactly to what extent she was involved. The detective told me she said she was trying to break it up, but I know she had her hands on my daughter's hair and snatched her hair out. That's not right."
Despite the fact that both his daughter and the other student were suspended, Shahan isn't satisfied he wants answers.
"They planned it and they acted it out, so to me more should be done just because of that kind of motive for violence," Shahan says.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office and the school are both investigating the incident. So far no arrests have been made.
