A dive team has recovered the body of a 19-year-old swimmer who disappeared in the Black Creek in Middleburg this afternoon.
Clay County deuputies say the male swimmer was trying to cross to the other side of the creek when he went under. A witness tells WOKV he was swimming alongside him when suddenly he went under and then re-emerged screaming for help.
Police identify the victim as Howard Wiley of Orange Park.
