Jacksonville, FL — A Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries following an early morning crash on U.S. 17 near Fleming Island.
“He was transported with non-life threatening injuries. FHP is working the traffic crash”, said Clay County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Keith Smith.
Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the crash just after 4am at U.S. 17 just south of Village Square Parkway. A witness reported the cruiser ended up underneath a box truck.
