Jacksonville, FL — Southbound traffic on I-95 through St. Johns County was backed up for ten hours through the overnight Friday, following a crash that involved multiple vehicles.
The driver of a Lexus, who lives in Washington, D.C., was cited for driving too fast for conditions according to Florida Highway Patrol. He was in the left lane of I-95 when his vehicle hydroplaned and struck the inside guardrail. The vehicle then hit a semi truck, and that truck collided with another semi.
All three drivers had only minor injuries. Two southbound lanes were blocked from the time of the crash, around 9:30 pm, through early this morning.
