Jacksonville FL — Good news on your weekend drive over the Buckman Bridge.
On Monday, the Florida Department of Transportation announced crews were able to successfully reinstall the damaged finger joint on the Southbound side of the Buckman Bridge this past weekend. We’re told crews are expected to finish making repairs on the bridge by August 23rd, and until then, you can expect to see double lane closures from 9 PM on Friday until 5 AM Monday.
Permanent repairs started in the middle of last month on the bridge to repair the damaged finger joint after it was originally damaged back in May.
