A Code Red lockdown at Mandarin High School has been lifted, according to Duval County Public Schools.
DCPS says all students and staff are safe, and parents were notified about the lockdown through phone messages and email notifications.
DCPS says the lockdown was issued because of an allegation that a student had a firearm. DCPS says that student was detained, and the campus was searched to determine if any weapons were on the property.
All after school activities will go on as planned, according to DCPS.
