At it's worst, it had traffic backed up about 20 miles in both directions.
A deadly crash on I-95 northbound, near the World Golf Village, brought travel to a standstill as many headed back home from spending the holidays with family.
According to the crash report from the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV carrying four people veered off the road for an unknown reason and then struck a tree, causing it to overturn.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue says all four were trapped inside.
The driver, Nazia Hossain, 32, was killed in the crash. A 4-year-old also passed away from his injuries. They were both from Ontario, Canada.
The other passengers were both injured, with one said to be in serious condition.
In the resulting back-up, we saw reports of at least 3 other crashes, though FHP says those were quickly moved to the shoulder.
