Deputies arrest St. Augustine man in November homicide

A 67-year-old St. Augustine man will make his first appearance in court tomorrow after he was arrested in the November death of Tracey Ann Roof, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found 62-year-old Roof dead when they responded to a home in the 800 block of Newpark Court in the early hours of Nov. 22, according to the Sheriff's Office. They say the District Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma injuries due to a homicide.

Deputies say they obtained a warrant for Ronald Curtis Caruso today, who was found at his home on Newpark Court and taken into custody.

Caruso being held with no bond and faces a murder charge, according to his warrant.
