Jacksonville, FL — Following only minimal local impacts from Isaias, our weather pattern turns more familiar for early August with heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says today’s storms will likely be heaviest between 3 pm and 7 pm, and may linger into sunset along and east of I-95.
“Where the storms occur, some very heavy downpours”, said Buresh.
Afternoon showers and storms continue each afternoon for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Highs will remain in the lower to mid 90′s.
