JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An 89-year-old woman from Jacksonville was killed in a crash on Monday morning on the Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 10 a.m., FHP said.

A sedan driven by a 20-year-old man from Jacksonville was traveling southbound on MLK, also known as U.S. 1, and was crossing through the intersection at Fairfax Street, FHP said.
The sedan that was being driven by the 89-year-old woman was making a left turn from U.S. 1 northbound, which resulted in a crash.
The woman was taken to UF Health Jacksonville, where she later died.
