JSO: Child, adult hit while crossing street in front of school bus, police searching for suspect

Driver wanted for hitting child & adult at school bus stop

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 10-year-old child and an adult are suffering from life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck them while they were crossing the street in front of a school bus on Hyde Park Road on Wednesday, police say.

The school bus was dropping children off at the 2000 block of Hyde Park Road around 3 p.m. when the child and adult were crossing the street. Then, a dark green vehicle approached them and failed to stop, striking the two victims.

The vehicle then fled the area headed southbound on Hyde Park Road toward Blanding Boulevard and Wilson Boulevard.

The driver of the dark green-colored vehicle is described as a White female with red hair. The vehicle has a garbage bag on the back driver’s side window.
