Jacksonville, Fl — A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer was involved in a morning crash on I-95 north of downtown Jacksonville. The crash caused traffic delays before sunrise.
JSO reported that two vehicles were involved, and that the officer had no injuries.
It followed an earlier fatal crash on I-95 NB at MLK Parkway. A 31-year-old man from Jacksonville died around 2:20 am when his car traveled off the highway and struct a traffic board sign, then a tree.
It’s not clear if alcohol played a factor in the crash, and FHP did not publicly identify the driver.
