17-year-old Alan Conerly remains in critical condition after being involved in a crash while riding his scooter to school Monday morning.
Family and friends gathered Wednesday night to pray for the teen who is a well known junior basketball player at Fletcher.
The 47-year-old driver of the car said she was heading into a gas station to eat her breakfast before going to work when she hit Conerly by accident.
Conerly wasn't wearing a helmet and was flown to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center after the crash.
