Original Story:
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call just after 5 p.m. Tuesday night in reference to a 14-year-old with a gunshot wound to her head. She was immediately transported her to UF Health in critical condition.
A JSO spokesperson said that they had a family member detained and were questioning her as of last night. That family member has now been identified as 34-year-old Amanda Guthrie.
Guthrie was in the house at the time of the shooting and made the 911 call. According to the arrest report, Guthrie was under the influence of marijuana. She was booked into the jail shortly after midnight after being questioned by police.
