Jacksonville, FL — It's been a long time coming-- the Florida Department of Transportation has announced the official scheduled opening of phase III of State Road 9B in St. Johns County.
According to the FDOT, State Road 9B northbound and southbound are now officially open, from St. Johns Parkway (County Road 2209) to I-95, including Peyton Parkway at Race Track Road. The FDOT says the new 1-mile Peyton Parkway connector road provides direct access to and from Race Track Road to State Road 9B.
Although the northbound lanes opened first Wednesday night, the southbound lanes actually opened early on Thursday. They were supposed to open on Saturday, August 11th.
