FHP investigating deadly hit-and-run crash on Jacksonville’s northside

Jacksonville FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash from Saturday night on Jacksonville’s northside. FHP says an unknown black or dark navy-blue newer model pickup truck hit a 55-year-old man from Yulee knocking him off his motorized bicycle while traveling south on Main Street north of Lankford Avenue. Troopers say the man on the motorized bicycle was on the shoulder while the unknown truck was traveling south. Troopers say that truck then continued south on Main Street after the crash and it could have damage to the front right.

Troopers says while the man was on the ground he was hit by a different truck.

Charges are pending in this crash and the victim hasn't been id’d by troopers.
