Jacksonville, FL — Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating after a man from Ocala was hit and killed by a CSX train late Wednesday night in Clay County.
Just arrived on-scene. Multiple troopers here investigating and the train is stopped on the tracks. @FHPJacksonville has only released that this is a train vs. pedestrian crash and the pedestrian was killed. The crash report says the train was heading southbound while 27-year-old Shawn Cutrer was on the tracks at the Birtchwood Drive crossing near Doctor’s Lake Drive.

Cutrer was pronounced dead on the scene. Troopers say it’s unclear if alcohol played a role.
A spokesperson for CSX tells WOKV everybody on board the train is okay and there was no damage.
