Fight at Moncrief bar escalates into parking lot shooting

Jacksonville, FL — He was sentenced to ten years in prison back in 2007, now he's back behind bars.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested Ricky Thomas, 34, of Texas, after an argument at a Moncrief bar escalated.

According to the arrest report, Thomas is accused of fighting with Christopher Hall inside the Ice Lounge, leading them both to get kicked out by security.

Once in the parking lot, Thomas allegedly pulled out a gun and eventually fired one shot at Hall, hitting him in the abdomen.

Hall's injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Thomas is charged with attempted murder, as well as possession of a weapon by an out-of-state felon.
