Jacksonville, FL — The Florida Forest Service says a 30 acre brush fire in Tillie Fowler Regional Park is at zero containment because crews cannot access for equipment.
The fire started on Tuesday afternoon across Roosevelt Blvd. from Naval Air Station Jacsksonville.
The Florida Forest Service Jacksonville and Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department were on scene through Tuesday night. The fire is in a marshy area south of Timuquana Road and west of Roosevelt Blvd. that is hard to access. JFRD says they will be on site through the night to help Forestry monitor the area.
Wildfire risk will increase this over the next 7-10 days as we enter a very warm & dry weather pattern. A new brush fire has broken out near NAS Jax #firstalertwx pic.twitter.com/EWUK1648f5

JFRD says the fire is about 30 acres.
FFS Jacksonville says, at this time, there are no structures threatened by the fire. They say smoke could become an issue, though, especially as winds shift. This could mean smoky conditions on the roads adjacent to the park.
