JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect in the forecast:
- Mainly dry and muggy this morning.
- Plenty of dry hours to start the day.
- Rain & storms develop and spread out after 2 - 3 PM, again lasting into the night
- Flood watch in effect for areas along and north of I-10.
- Bands of rain then move across the area starting on Monday
- Winds increase off the Atlantic on Tuesday, bringing local nor’easter conditions
- Minor to moderate coastal flooding at high tides is possible Tuesday through late week.
- Winds pick up Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Gusts could be as high as 35-45 mph along the coast.
- Rough ocean and beach conditions starting Tuesday and the rest of the week.
- Some beach erosion is possible.
- Additional rain totals of 5-7″ of rain are possible this week in many local neighborhoods.
