Jacksonville, FL — Twice each day the Florida Department of Health updates the number of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths.
As of 5 am Friday, Florida has recorded 29 confirmed deaths. 8 deaths are in the NE Florida area. Overall, 410 people statewide are hospitalized. There are 2,359 confirmed cases statewide.

As of 11 am Thursday, Florida has recorded 28 confirmed deaths, 8 of which were in the NE Florida area. The additional deaths come from Clay County, where four people have died. Three deaths are in Duval County, and one is in St. Johns County.
