Jacksonville FL — Don’t expect much of an impact on gas prices due to Hurricane Ida. According to Patrick De Haan with Gas Buddy, there are little impacts expected with prices, if there are any at all. He says if there are any impacts it would not be felt until days from now. He says any changes in prices anywhere right now don’t have anything to do with the storm since oil prices have been moving up well before the storm.
Right now in Florida, the average price for gas is about $2.93 a gallon.
For those not in LA and MS, there will be limited impacts to #gasprices if any at all. This is not a Katrina. This is not a Harvey. I, for one, have zero reason to fill up. There will be some disruptions and delays in the fuel chain in LA as evacs happen.

Crude plummeted last week leading to price drops then surged early this week and now that surge is leading to #gasprices jumping. If and when Ida makes an impact it would only be a couple cents so far. But Ida's impact would be days from now- just not yet.
