Head football coach of Fletcher High School arrested for domestic battery, JSO says

NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — A long-time Duval County Public Schools football coach has been arrested for domestic battery, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO).

Robert Raulerson, 53, is currently the head coach of Fletcher High School’s football program, a position he was appointed to in January 2020.

In the police report, the victim told police that she and Raulerson had an argument Wednesday night that escalated Thursday morning. Deputies say the victim was shaking during their initial interview and had “visible injuries.”

Action News Jax reached out to Duval County Public Schools upon learning of Raulerson’s arrest and received the following response:

“We are monitoring this situation as a human resources matter. The employee has been removed from any duties with student contact until the matter is concluded.”

Raulerson had his first appearance in a Duval County courtroom on Friday morning. He is arraignment is set for July 14.
