‘Hey, Mama’ Mobile Pantry launches in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, FL- — The Hey, Mama Mobile Pantry, a new initiative of the Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition, is now providing baby supplies, self-care products, health and nutrition education, and other items to underserved families in areas of Duval County with high infant mortality rates. It’s funded by the City of Jacksonville.

The Hey, Mama Mobile Pantry is a passenger van loaded with diapers and wipes, formula, baby food, men’s and women’s toiletries and pregnancy tests.

A health educator and nursing students are also on board to educate clients about postpartum depression screenings and provide referrals for community resources.
