A microburst from this afternoon’s severe storms causes damage in Elkton.
St. Johns County Emergency Management confirmed to WOKV that nobody was injured. The National Weather Service assessed the scene on CR 305 just south of SR 207 and determined the damage was the result of a microburst from nearby storms in Clay and Putnam, and not from tornado activity.
We’re told two barns partially collapsed and a tree, some power poles and power lines were damaged.
