Jacksonville Beach Police arrest 3 women after beauty store robbery, car chase

Jacksonville Beach, FL — Police in Jacksonville Beach said more than $5,000 in high-end fragrances were swiped from the shelves inside a Ulta Beauty store.

The heist happened at the Ulta on 3rd St. Thursday.

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said the robbery lead to a police chase and the arrest of three women.

Police said they charged Shatreveya Robinson, Slivya Thomas, and Myra Curry in connection with the incident.

Jacksonville Beach Police have at least three previous cases involving the suspects.

Investigators said they were staking out the beauty store after receiving intel the suspects were on their way.

Police said a detective watched the suspects leave the business after they had just committed another crime.

Police said they tried to stop the suspects, but they sped off in the parking lot.

The report said the vehicle turned onto 3rd St. S. and onto JTB.

Police said the suspects' car was traveling over 100 MPH before sideswiping a guardrail and another vehicle.

The suspects' car came to a stop on JTB before the intracoastal bridge.

Police said they approached the vehicle and identified Curry as the driver.

Curry and Robinson were removed from the car and placed in handcuffs.

Police said Thomas got out of the car and ran.

The report said she in the in bushes for several minutes until surrendering to police.

Police said they found a child on the floorboard of the suspects' vehicle who was not hurt.

Robinson was also charged with child neglect, according to jail records.

Action News Jax called the phone numbers listed on the suspects' arrest reports.

Curry told Action News Jax it was all a misunderstanding.

When asked why the police report listed her as the driver, Curry denied ever being there.
