UPDATE: Jacksonville Beach Police locate man who was reported missing

JACKSONVILLE, BEACH, Fla. — UPDATE - June 24 - 7:34 am: Jacksonville Beach Police say Christopher Lyde has been located safe.

ORIGINAL STORY - The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is searching for 46-year-old Christopher Allen Lyde who was last seen near Hampton Inn at 1515 1st Street North.

Lyde has expressed suicidal thoughts and may have a firearm, police say.

Lyde is 6′1 and has a faded tattoo on his upper shoulder. He has a 2018 gray Dodge Journey with the South Carolina tag RDY983.

He last spoke with his family on June 17 around 7 p.m.
