Jacksonville, FL — Weddings take months of planning, to cancel a wedding is a devastating decision for a couple to make. Amber Holsinger and her husband to be were set to get married Saturday, March 21st, but less than a week before the big day they had to cancel.
“We were going to be at the Ribault Club, it was going to start at 4:30 and be there the whole day,” Holsinger said holding back tears.
She said she looked forward to the first look with her father and her first dance with her husband.
Instead, they are still getting married just with their parents.
“We are getting married in front of our parents just our two sets of parents with our pastor just outside our house actually,” Holsinger said.
They plan to have a vow renewal in a year at Renault Club, the vendors have worked with her to reschedule their day.

Like brides to be, it has become a logistical nightmare for vendors like photographer Kathy Thomas. Thomas runs Kathy Thomas Photography a bulk of her business is destination weddings. She has rescheduled 10 weddings so far, one in Saint Augustine.
“I have not had anyone cancel yet,” Thomas said.
Thomas spent hours working to reschedule 24 flights, she is now looking for other streams of revenue for her business as Corona Virus continues to disrupt everyday life.
“As emotional as it has been and there has been lots of tears, it has allowed us to step out of the box,” Thomas said
For Amanda, her honeymoon to Jamaica was also rescheduled but she knows to take these steps, was the right thing to do.
