Jacksonville, FL — There will be no curfew in place for Jacksonville heading into Monday night.
Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry making the announcement on Twitter, saying it is thanks to the help of law-abiding citizens and the hard work of law enforcement.
However, he says should the need arise, the city does have the capacity to respond to any violent protests.
With the help of law abiding citizens and the hard work of law enforcement, Sheriff Williams @jsosheriff and I have decided to rescind the curfew tonight. We have the capacity should the need arise, but we very much appreciate the cooperation of the people of our city.

Mayor Curry previously issued a curfew for Sunday night, amid violent protests in Jacksonville. One officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was either stabbed or slashed in the neck, but JSO said Monday this individual has already been treated and released from the hospital.
Florida has zero tolerance for violence, rioting & looting. George Floyd’s murder was appalling & the MN perpetrators need to be brought to justice, but this cannot be used as a pretext for violence in our communities.
