UPDATE: Jacksonville Police says missing man found safe

Jacksonville, Fl. — UPDATE:  The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says they were able to locate Ronald Swire and he is safe.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help as they try to find a missing elderly man last seen on the Northside.

JSO says 76-year-old Ronald Swire was treated at the Mental Health Resource Center on West 20th Street on Monday afternoon. M.H.R.C had released Swire to go home and placed him in a cab to be driven to his assisted living facility on Brahma Bull Circle North.

After being dropped off, Swire reportedly did not go inside the assisted living home. Staff at the facility say Swire becomes disoriented frequently and possibly has undiagnosed dementia.

According to JSO, Swire is new to the area and he’s unable to care for himself.
