Man shot in leg while inside vehicle in Jacksonville Heights area, JSO reports

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported shooting in the Jacksonville Heights area in the 8500 block of Osteen St.

According to JSO, a man in his 40s was shot in the leg while inside a vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in non-life-threatening condition.

According to the initial investigation, the victim was seated inside a vehicle when he was approached by a suspect who shot him on time.

Description and details of the suspect are currently unknown.
