JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported stabbing in a Cedar Hills neighborhood in the 4500 block of Jade Dr. East.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, at around 9:30 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Jade. Ave. due to an individual reportedly cut.
When arriving at the scene, Officers found an adult male who was reportedly stabbed. the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The Jacksonville Homicide Unit was called to the scene along with the JSO Crime Scene Unit and Medical Examiner’s Office.
A suspect was taken into custody after cooperating and interviews are taking place by authorities. Reportedly the suspect and victim knew each other before the incident.
