Jaguars' mascot Jaxson de Ville named a finalist for National Mascot Hall of Fame

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Jaguars are asking for your help getting Jaxson de Ville into the National Mascot Hall of Fame.

Jaxson de Ville is one 10 finalists for the 2020 class of the National Mascot Hall of Fame. His competitors include the following:

  • Bernie Brewer (Milwaukee Brewers, MLB)
  • Blue (Indianapolis Colts, NFL)
  • Boomer (Indiana Pacers, NBA)
  • Globie (Harlem Globetrotters)
  • Oriole Bird (Baltimore Orioles, MLB)
  • S.J. Sharkie (San Jose Sharks, NHL)
  • Sebastian the Ibis (University of Miami)
  • T.C. Bear (Minnesota Twins, MLB)
  • Youppi! (Montreal Canadiens, NHL)

Online fan voting is underway now through Saturday, October 26, at https://mascothalloffame.com/thevote/. You can vote once per day, per email address.

Jaxson de Ville is in his 24th season as the Jaguars mascot, after making his debut on August 18, 1996.

The team says he ranks No.1 in NFL history in career bungee jumps and zip lines, as well as posting a league-leading 17 celebratory belly flops in the pools at TIAA Bank Field.
