Jacksonville FL — On Monday, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miller Electric Company announced a new naming rights agreement for the team’s new sports performance center under construction outside the stadium. The new center will be known as the “Miller Electric Center”. This new center costs $120 million and will house the team’s football staff and operations, including locker rooms, training, and medical facilities as well as new practice fields. This is a public-private partnership between the Jaguars and the city of Jacksonville with the costs being split between the two.
“The City of Jacksonville is incredibly excited for this new addition to our Downtown,” Mayor Lenny Curry says. “Miller Electric has played an active role in our community since its inception. We are grateful to Miller Electric and the Jacksonville Jaguars for their continued investment in building up Jacksonville.”
We reported last August when the Jacksonville City Council approved this new facility.
Owner shad Khan says this new center will be the epicenter of everything the team does.
“I want Jacksonville to live up to its potential and it’s huge. We haven’t scratched the surface yet”. Khan says.
The “Miller Electric Center” is set to open before the 2023 season.
