A well-known Jacksonville mom and pop shop is closing its doors for good.
"When the big box stores are having trouble, it's a lot harder for us little guys," says Rachel Kern Baldwin, the VP of Jax Bargain Plywood.
After 35-years in business, Jax Bargain Plywood is going out of business. Baldwin looks back fondly on how her father started the company.
"He decided to buy a bundle of molding and sold it at the flea market - profited $50. The next weekend, he did the same thing and profited $100 and Jax Bargain Plywood was born," says Baldwin.
She says they're discounting their remaining products and will let go of more than 20 employees when they close January 13th.
