Jacksonville, FL — The St. Johns Sheriff’s Office is thanking the community for providing tips that led to a suspect being arrested for armed robbery of the Circle K gas station on State Road 16.
According to an arrest report, 23-year-old Eric Shaw is charged with first degree felony robbery.
Early on Sunday morning, the Sheriff’s Office reported a man walked into the gas station and stood around for 30 minutes before pulling out a gun.
The Sheriff’s Office told us that the man took a small amount of cash from the register and fled in a dark-colored Jeep.
According to the arrest report, the suspect said he had taken multiple pills which he thought were Xanax. After taking the pills, the suspect said he went to the Circle K but did not remember many of the details.
The suspect said he had no money after purchasing the Jeep. No one was injured in the robbery.
