Bank robbery suspect implies he has a weapon, flees with cash

Jacksonville — For the second time in about five months, a Westside bank has been robbed.

JSO says a man walked in to the TD Bank on San Juan Ave near Roosevelt and implied he had a weapon in his jacket. He demanded money from the teller, who complied with an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s, who’s 6’ and 180-200 lbs. He was wearing sunglasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and white shoes.

One customer was in the bank, along with employees. Nobody was hurt.

This same bank was the subject of a robbery back in October. JSO says it's too early to say if there's any connection between these two incidents.

If you have any information about this robbery or suspect, you’re asked to contact JSO at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org or 904-630-0500. You can also submit an anonymous tip an be eligible for a possible reward by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
