Jacksonville, FL — An apparent murder-suicide leaves three people dead at a Southside condo.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office plans to work through the night to investigate the scene at the Monterey Condominiums off Beach Boulevard, just west of Kernan Boulevard. JSO was initially called to a report of a shooting around 2:40PM, and Patrol believed at the time that there were two victims. Patrol entered the condo and found three people deceased- a white male between 50 and 60 years old, a white females between 50 and 60 years old, and a white female between 25 and 35 years old.
At this time, JSO is working to positively identify those involved and any relationship between them. As the investigation proceeds, police will also be examining whether there were any prior calls for service to this condo and any motive to what happened. While we’re told there was at least one 911 call, JSO is not yet prepared to speak to the origin or contents of that call.
While JSO is investigating this as a murder-suicide, they are working to determine exactly what happened. As part of that, they’re also speaking with neighbors, friends, and family, as well as collecting physical evidence from the scene.
