Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says a man suspected of a Northside bank robbery was caught at the Jacksonville International Airport.
According to JSO, they responded to a panic alarm from the Chase Bank at 1140 Dunn Avenue, at around 4:15 PM Tuesday afternoon, about a bank robbery.
Police say the suspect had entered the bank and approached a teller. The suspect then passed the teller a note, saying he 'knew what time it was', according to police. We're told the teller complied, with the suspect last seen on foot. No gun was even shown or indicated, according to JSO.
But a short time later, JSO says an individual matching the suspect description was detained at the airport by JIA police. JSO says he was positively identified as the bank robbery suspect and taken in for questioning.
At this time, that individual's name has not been released.
