Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says an attempted robbery suspect has been taken into custody after being shot while trying to commit the crime.
According to police, the suspect is accused of trying to rob the Metro PCS at 5000 Sunbeam Road at around 5:30 PM Wednesday afternoon. During the robbery, police say the suspect was shot by an individual inside the store.
The suspect did try to flee the area, but JSO says was taken into custody a short time later in a nearby parking lot. The suspect was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police haven't yet identified the suspect. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
