Jacksonville Police have identified the vehicle they believe is responsible for a fatal hit-and-run on New Berlin Road.
The body of 55-year-old Paula Abdullah was found early Wednesday. Investigators believe she was walking on the edge of a paved portion of the road when she was hit from behind, getting thrown about 80 feet off the road and on to a driveway.
The vehicle left behind several pieces of debris. That has led JSO to identify the suspected vehicle as a black Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck, possibly an SR5 Sport model. The vehicle should have heavy right front damage to the headlight area.
A photo of a similar truck is shown to the left. This is not, however, the exact vehicle being sought.
