Jacksonville, FL — A 62-year-old man is now being charged with murder, days after what the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office initially called a 'domestic incident.'
WOKV told you on Sunday, when JSO first reported a mother and her son were found critically injured inside their Bartram Springs home during a welfare check.
Since then, police have arrested that man, 62-year-old Mark Burgos. He was initially charged with aggravated battery on a person, 65 or older.
But JSO announced Wednesday afternoon, the charges against Burgos have now been upgraded to murder. This coming after Burgos' mother, 86-year-old June Burgos, passed away from her injuries.
